When performing the Korean Fan Dance, one must wear a hanbok and hold one fan with a flower or feather picture in each hand. The fans help the dancers portray beautiful, large movements due to the colors of the fans. Shapes they make, such as flowers and butterflies express the beauty of the mountains and the sea. The Fan Dance describes the elegance of nature by creating various symbols. Anybody can learn this dance with ease, and in a short period of time, they can portray the beauty of nature. And, like the Korean Drum Dance, it can develop strong cooperation and harmonization with each member since each symbol relies in the movement of everyone.
