Now is your chance to take a deeper dive into beginning and intermediate drawing skills. Focusing on realism, students will learn shading techniques, composition, and proportion to create beautiful complete drawings.

Learn chess with Magnus Academy, five-time world champion Magnus Carlsen’s academy! We've taught 100,000 children to play including state & national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games. Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies. Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments (in-person and online) outside of club time. This in-person club includes free online extras including weekly practice tournaments, a Chesskid Gold membership ($49 value!), and an event with a chess celebrity. Last year's guests were World Champion Magnus Carlsen and Judit Polgar (the best female chess player of all time). All chess supplies provided. All skill levels are welcome

Don't really know what style of art most interests you, you just love them all! Come create with us! Each week we will explore a different artistic medium to create unique designs. We will cover painting, drawing, oil pastels, and 3D work.

Creative Minds Art & Social Emotional Wellness with Ms. Ahmari is a dynamic and engaging class designed to help students express their emotions and creativity through a variety of multimedia crafting techniques. Each week, students will explore different art forms, such as drawing, painting, collage, and mixed media, while also participating in mindfulness activities to promote relaxation and self-awareness. This class emphasizes the therapeutic benefits of art, helping students to connect with their emotions and develop a healthy outlet for self-expression. No prior art experience is needed—just a willingness to have fun and explore creativity! Students will bring home a completed art project each session, reflecting their unique experiences and growth.

Lights, camera, action! Unleash your inner actor in this thrilling course. Students will learn fundamentals acting, improvisation, and stage presence. Through engaging exercises and games, they will develop their acting skills, explore different characters, and learn how to think on their feet. They will also have the opportunity to perform in short skits and showcase their talent.

2nd - 5th GUITAR: This class will teach the basics of how to hold a guitar and learn how to pluck simple melodies. As the student progresses, they will learn harder melodies and advanced classical technique. *STUDENTS WILL STAY IN THE MUSIC ROOM FROM 3:40 p.m.-4:40 p.m. Dismissal will happen at 4:40 p.m.*

This popular class is a disciplined introduction to the sport by Kaizen Karate. Your child will learn the beautiful art of karate while gaining safety and defensive skills in a respectful environment. The class will also emphasize the basic karate principles of focus, patience, and self-discipline. Returning students will continue to work toward new belts while first time students will be able to start the belt program.

Who doesn't love building with LEGOs?!? In this class, we will build (pun intended!) upon this excitement by teaching LEGO enthusiasts about engineering – how to make a plan, execute it, reflect upon it, consider the physics of it, and make changes for next time. Tapping into our executive functioning skills, we will use our imaginations to build new innovations while learning about the classics (Eiffel Tower, Burj Khalifa, Big Ben, etc!). This course will conclude with a final “showcase of learning” during which families will be invited to the classroom to see what has been learned, and maybe even to build alongside their children if they're lucky!

The Little Veterinarian School encourages elementary school children to role play and explores the exciting world of veterinarians. Using interactive demonstrations, crafts, and games, kids learn how to take care of a pet and use instruments that real veterinarians use.

The Minecraft world is in danger! In this class, students will learn coding fundamentals and use them to create powerful superheroes with special abilities. Each class creates a new opportunity for our coders to save the Minecraft world against a new danger! From traveling to a ruined city and exploring a frozen bunker to saving the White House and more! Students will have an amazing time putting their coding skills to the test!

K - 1st Piano: Join this class to learn the basics of how to read piano music and learn beginning piano technique (this class is meant for the piano player aged K - 1st Grade). *STUDENTS WILL STAY IN THE MUSIC ROOM FROM 3:40 p.m.-4:40 p.m. DISMISSAL WILL HAPPEN AT 4:40 p.m.**

Embracing a child’s natural sense of curiosity and creativity, students will use a variety of materials to learn basic techniques of art making to create unique and personalized designs. Exploring ideas such as painting, collage, and sculpture students will learn use techniques such as cutting skills and proper use of materials.

Use a variety of materials to create different types of sculptures. We will explore clay, found objects, and reusable materials to make a variety of three-dimensional materials. Students will learn various ways of cutting and attaching to create balanced designs.
