Is your child ready to imagine, build, and bring their ideas to life? Bricks & Beyond is an exciting after-school program where creativity and problem-solving meet the endless possibilities of Lego building. Each week, students will explore new themes, challenges, and storytelling opportunities designed to spark curiosity and teamwork.

As old-school as Cos Cob itself - Dodgeball! Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge your way to an exciting afternoon. Practice overhand and underhand tossing, as well as catching and spatial awareness. Dodgeball seems plain and boring? Not at Cos Cob- we have a few fun tweaks to modify any class to the desire of the students involved.

Compete for the Phoenix Cup! Students will be split into teams which remain consistent for the duration of the session. While playing with their team they will play a “regular season” in which records will be kept, then all teams will compete in a playoffs for their chance to hoist the Phoenix Cup! Students will be introduced to the Sport Education Model, and will work on their hockey skills as well as teamwork and communication.

A true fan favorite. Students will play gagaball, a game in which the students must use their hand as a racquet to hit or roll a ball at opponents. Don't get hit below the knee or you're out! Modified versions may include Classic, Trading Places, Among Us & PoisonBall.

Join the ultimate bracelet making bash and create colorful designs with friends! In this program, children will dive into the exciting world of Rainbow Loom and Happy Loom bracelet making. Each week brings a fresh project and new skill to master, everything from Single Chain Bracelet to Ladder Bracelet, which uses three loom rows to create a striking center stripe. During the final week, students will showcase their creativity with a Final Project Bracelet, designing a unique creation using any of the techniques learned throughout the program. This program encourages creativity, color planning, and peer collaboration while providing a fun, hands-on experience. Loom-tastic Creations is the perfect blend of fun, friendship, and creativity!

Get ready to spark curiosity and have fun with science! In this hands-on after-school program, students will explore exciting experiments and creative activities that make science come alive. From bouncing bubbles to amazing solar bugs, kids will discover the “wow” in the world around them while building problem-solving skills and a love for learning.

Give your child the gift of a stronger body and a calmer mind. This class offers a fun and non-competitive space for kids to tune into their bodies and minds. Using playful Pilates and yoga exercises, we will strengthen core muscles to improve posture and body awareness, essential for growing kids. We'll also practice breathing techniques and calming exercises that help manage stress and improve concentration in and out of class. This class promotes a positive body image and self-esteem by teaching kids to listen to their bodies and appreciate what they can do.

A game created in Fairfield, CT, students will have an opportunity to learn this lifetime activity that has grown into a popular version backyard baseball. Students will learn the official Wiffle ball rules, with all wiffle ball pitches will be taught, and a game played each class.
